Which Way?

The title of this blog is The Way 2 Life and its main purpose is to discuss and hopefully help readers to discover the way to life – I mean REAL Life – through Jesus Christ. (Yes I know the package includes other ’stuff’ like Heaven when you die, which is neat – but most folk don’t realise that this life on earth is meant to be enjoyable and meaningful too – and it can be)                        for latest blog click here>

So by LIFE I not only mean eternal life (which is fairly impressive on its own), but as Jesus promised: “I am come that (or in order that) you might have life and LIFE more abundantly (or in other words in ALL its FULNESS)” – and He meant this to begin in THIS life, here on earth, not some ‘pie in the sky when you die’.

I don’t know about you, but that sounds a fantastic thing to have.

But you may ask: “Is it really possible or is it just another word for religion — and I have had more than enough of THAT!”

Well the purpose of this page is to try to explain (simply I hope) how to receive and enjoy this promise of “Life in all its fulness” that Jesus promised. We don’t peddle religion we promise you can find LIFE in a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

Now hopefully you won’t just take my word for it. Doing that sort of thing can be dangerous!

The fact is that if God really is THE God and if Jesus really is the Son of God and if any of this is really true – then it should be possible and desirable to actually investigate it and if convinced RECEIVE it – seeing it is God that promised it.

Seeking to know whether that was FACT was where I began my journey some 40 years ago and I can say with absolute conviction – it IS True, it is FACT, it is Real and YOU can KNOW it and be fully convinced if you truly want to know the truth and are willing to seek it with all your heart.

Actually once you discover the truth you will find it is not really you that is doing the seeking, it is God seeking to reveal Himself to you.

You may ask: ‘So how do I start’

It is really quite simple although it may not be ‘easy’. You (like I had) probably have so many negative images of God that the real revelation of God will almost ‘blow your mind’

It is such a ’shock’ to find out that God is a GOOD God and although He is all-powerful He is also absolute love – especially to all those who seek to know Him.

Here is a simple check list of ways to find out if it is true:
Although if you are nearly convinced there is an easier way (see below)

1. Sincerely ASK God (if He is real) to reveal Himself to you in a way you can understand.

2. WATCH. Jesus promised: If you seek you WILL find. But you have to seek and watch out for the proofs to come. As surely they will.

3. BE REAL. God knows you intimately: everything you are, everything you have done, every thought and every word. He knows. But He still loves you – even if you don’t think He should!

4. BE READY. The revelation of God in your mind and life will bring challenges. Your friends and family may not understand at all! Be gentle on them – don’t expect them to believe what it took you a good while to discover.

5. ENJOY IT. Don’t get ‘religious’ – remember Jesus had most of his problems with the religious pharisees than the common people.

6. SHARE IT. If it is good enough for you, it is good enough to share with others. They will (eventually) thank you for it. But remember share it in love no matter how obstinate and offensive folk may be.
God loves them, so should you.

OK if you are nearly convinced anyway here is an easier and quicker way:

Romans 10:12-13 plainly says: “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved”

This is the easiest way to prove God is real and true to His Word:
JUST CALL – JUST CRY OUT!

He ALWAYS hears the cry of someone who is sincere and desperate and calls upon HIM!
He is the Creator God and loves ALL of His creation, especially mankind. That certainly includes you.

The best example is probably the man who is referred to as “the thief on the cross”
See the gospel of Luke chapter 23 and verse 42

He was definitely a ‘bad’ sinner and he knew it. He had ignored Jesus until he found himself on a cross next to Him. At a time when everyone (even the disciples) had forsaken Jesus, his desperation and remorse over his life (and no doubt his impending death) caused him to CALL upon Jesus.

And Jesus met him at his point of need and promised: “This day you will be with me in Paradise”
No good works (quite the reverse). No religious instruction (there wasn’t time). No ‘just say these words’ just simple faith. Just the word of Jesus in response to simple faith.

The ‘thief on the cross’ was probably the only person then living that believed Jesus actually did have a kingdom and the He would ‘come into it’ – that is God-given faith. And you can have that too.

Try It – Call upon JESUS and He will surely answer you and make His promise real in you.
