What’s in store for the USA

Armageddon

by Martin D. Weiss, Ph.D. 02-22-10 | Full version on Money & Markets website here>

Martin D. Weiss, Ph.D.

If you thought Wall Street’s debt crisis was traumatic, wait till you the see the consequences of Washington’s debt crisis!

Never before in history has a world power like the U.S. been so utterly buried in debt! And never before has that debt been financed so massively by foreign investors!

Nineteenth century Mexico, Spain, and Argentina accumulated so much debt, they were forced to default.

In the 20th century, a similar fate befell Germany (1932) … China (1939) … Turkey (1978) … Mexico again in 1982 … Brazil and the Philippines (1983) … South Africa in 1985 … plus Russia and Pakistan in 1998.

Argentina kicked off the 21st century with a default in 2001. And barring a euro zone rescue, Greece, Spain, and Portugal are prime candidates for debt defaults this year.

But in NONE of these examples did we — or do we — see the debt crisis striking a dominant world power! In ALL cases, the debts represent little more than a small fraction of the total debts outstanding worldwide.

Not so in our case today!

In the entire world, the United States government and its agencies have, by far, the largest pile-up of interest-bearing debts ($15.6 trillion), the largest accumulation of unsecured obligations (over $60 trillion), the largest yearly deficit ($1.6 trillion), and the greatest indebtedness to the rest of the world ($4.8 trillion).

In proportion to the size of its economy, one important country, Japan, does have more debt than the U.S. But unlike Washington’s debts, nearly all of Japan’s are financed by its own citizens — loyal, long-term savers who are far less likely to pull out in a storm.

Washington’s debt crisis represents a unique, unparalleled, and unimaginable convergence of circumstances. Because no one can answer this simple question being asked by former GAO chief David Walker:

Who will bail out America?

Not you, not me, and not 300 million Americans! Not China, not Japan, nor all the powers on Earth put together! They’re simply not big enough. They don’t have the money.

My Comment: The above article is yet another in a series of warnings that the USA is in deep trouble. Deeper than most folk realise — or want to think about.

Bible prophesy is being fulfilled before our eyes. Most don’t realise the implications of the results of the above scenario for the whole world. Truly a ‘new world order’ is certainly about to become a reality — a frightening reality — for everyone.

Like it or not things are going to get very ‘difficult’ — but for the Bible-believing Christian (and there SHOULD BE no other kind!) these will be exciting if challenging days.

Jesus Christ IS coming soon — but if you want to know what happens in the short intervening years read the book of Revelation. Soon everything in this prophetic book of the Bible will become daily reality and we will be reading about it in our newspapers and world-wide media.

God’s recommendation: Get ready! Get ready! Get ready! It is coming sooner than you think.

And oh yes, the writer of the article chose the heading. Even though he has a good idea of what will happen soon, he has no idea what the real Armageddon will be like. Much worse!

. . . It’s so simple…

This blog is mainly aimed at sincere (if sceptical) seekers after the truth.

Because of this some items on this blog may unfortunately seem quite complicated.

This is not because knowing God in a very real and personal way is complicated, just the opposite.

But if, like me, you were either brought up in a atheist/agnostic environment and developed that kind of mind-set or have become indoctrinated by the popular anti-god or crazy mixed up religious notions of this age, then it takes a lot of effort to break the mould by examining things in the light of the Bible.

But the fact that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life is so simple a child can both understand it and believe it. Yet it is so profound that it can satisfy the greatest intellectual mind (and heart).

BASICALLY:

1. All are sinners therefore you are a sinner (and you know that is true)
2. God commands ALL sinners to turn from their sin (repent) – stands to reason.
3. God has provided the remedy for sin – Jesus Christ God’s son died on the cross to pay the penalty for ALL sin.
4. God now gives you the opportunity to receive Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour.
5. When you do that in sincerity and truth you pass from death to life and receive a new nature.
The Bible calls this being ‘born again’
6. If this is really true in your heart you start to forsake all sin and seek to live pleasing to God.
7. The Bible teaches that as well as believing in your heart you need to confess with your mouth.
So tell someone – Remember it is not what you know it is WHO you know: JESUS!

DO IT NOW !

Remember: It is not a religion it is having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ that matters.

Can these bones live?

DRY BONES

“He… set me down in the middle of the valley; and it was full of bones…Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones, ‘Behold, I will cause breath to enter you that you may come to life…and you will know that I am the LORD.’” Ezekiel 37:1-6 NASB  | Inspiration network

It was a dark time for God’s people. Many had been exiled and were feeling hopeless. The Temple had been destroyed, and its treasures taken.  But then God gave Ezekiel a startling vision, bringing him to a valley full of dry bones–a place where there was no life.

In this vision, the Lord told Ezekiel that these bones would be given new life. He would “make flesh grow back on you, cover you with skin” (Ezekiel 37:6). Then God breathed on these bodies and they “came to life and stood on their feet.” Moreover, they became “an exceedingly great army” (Ezekiel 37:10).

God explained that “these bones are the whole house of Israel” (Ezekiel 37:11). He told them they would “come up out of your graves,” “come to life,” and be placed “on your own land” (Ezekiel 37:12-14).

For centuries, these prophecies remained a mystery. Many asked, “Will God actually bring His people ‘into the land of Israel’ again?” This seemed impossible. Yet, in the 20th century, this is exactly what happened. The world watched with amazement as Jews came from across the globe and were united in the land of Israel. Yes, God’s Word was true!

Just as these dry bones have come back to life, we can be sure that all of the Bible’s prophecies for Israel will be fulfilled. People in the world may doubt God’s Word, have their own interpretations, or pursue their own goals. But we can be sure God will keep His promises–all of them. He will accomplish His purposes, and He will bless those who bless His people.

TODAY’S INSPIRATIONAL PRAYER
Father, thank You that Your prophetic Word is true. Help me understand Your plans. Bless Your people Israel, and help me trust Your promises in my own life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

What the ‘Fed’ is really up to…

Time’s Person of the Year Drives the Crisis Spiral

by Claus Vogt 12-23-09 | Money & Markets website | Link to original article here>

Claus Vogt

Fed President Ben Bernanke has been named Time magazine’s Person of the Year for 2009. However, in looking back at former People of the Year it becomes crystal clear that this title doesn’t necessarily mean that the honored person has done something good for the world …

It only meant that he or she had made a big influence on the course of history during the preceding year. Some have brought us blessings, while others have brought plagues.

And this year it surely seems that Time’s journalists think of Bernanke as a blessing for the world.

Well, I have to strongly disagree …

It didn’t work in Zimbabwe, and it won’t work in the US

It’s really surprising how acclaimed a monetary politician can become nowadays by doing just one thing: Printing money like there’s no tomorrow . . .

. . . It’s hard to believe, but mainstream economists do not even raise the obvious question about what caused this huge bubble. They don’t seem to be interested in truth and cognizance.

That’s very sad … because the answer to this question gives us very important insights into what I call the “Crisis Spiral” or the “Inflation Trap.” And it’s theoretically well founded and empirically well documented by financial history. Here it is:

The necessary condition for the development of speculative bubbles is superabundant money and credit growth.

Of course you know who is ultimately responsible for money and credit growth: The central bank, that is Mr. Bernanke himself.

After all, the central bank laid the necessary groundwork for this huge bubble to develop. Hence, the central bank is also responsible for the devastating outcome of the unavoidable bursting of this bubble.

If you stop looking for a job, you’re not considered unemployed in the official data .
A blessing or the plague?

Bernanke Is Not
The Savior of the World …

There is no doubt in my mind that Bernanke — along with his predecessor Alan Greenspan — are the most notable creators of the Great Recession. And Bernanke is not the savior of the world as Time wants you to believe. In fact, he’s the opposite!

When Greenspan implemented the very same policy as Bernanke does now, the latter was already a Fed governor strongly supporting Greenspan. I used to call this policy “the great experiment of Dr. Greenspan” and forecasted the horrible outcome we have witnessed now.

Today, Bernanke is in the driver seat. And he’s doing the very same things as his predecessor, but even more so.

The politically correct answer to a crisis stemming from easy money is — more, much more, easy money. Therefore, it stands to reason that the outcome of this even grander experiment will be much worse.

My Comment: Firstly please understand that the FED (US Federal Reserve) is NOT a part of the USA Goverment structure — though it acts as though it is and most Americans think it is! — The Federal Reserve is a private organisation with unbelievable power and resources (and it has been since the 1930’s) — and it has a strategy of its own. It is one of the instruments being used to ‘Socially Engineer’ the whole world into a One World System — especially the USA.

I am afraid that the predictions of the writer of this article will very soon come very horribly true. America will soon see some unbelievable changes in every level of its society… and not for the good!

But ‘fear not’ the Bible is very clear of the dangerous times we live in and the outcome. Jesus said: ‘When you see these things coming to pass — lift up your heads for your redemption draws near” — He was, of course, speaking to His own disciples (those who truly belong to Him)

If you do, then you have every reason to rejoice — Jesus is coming soon!
If you do not know Jesus as Lord and Saviour then now is the time to do the most important thing in your entire life: Trust Him personally NOW!

Jesus said: “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. (Luke 11:9-10) — No one can possibily miss an encounter with Jesus unless they refuse to seek, knock and ask God to reveal the truth to them.

Start now! There are resource links on this blog that will explain everything simply and clearly — if you really want to know the truth.

2010: The Year of Destiny

Online Article by Martin D. Weiss, Ph.D. 11-22-09 | Link to complete article here>

Martin D. Weiss, Ph.D.

If anybody tells you he can predict the future with pinpoint accuracy, he’s pulling your leg. But when it comes to 2010, one thing does seem absolutely clear:

One year from today, you will either be substantially richer or poorer than you are right now.

If you get it right — if you take action now to harness the megatrends that are now shaping our future — 2010 could be your year of destiny. You stand an excellent chance of emerging from 2010 far better off.

But those who ignore today’s massive, sweeping, global trends — who fail to see where they lead — risk being blind-sided and suffering substantial losses.

Just look at the past 24 months as a perfect example. Never before in our lifetime have we witnessed a more dangerous debt disaster! And never before have we seen a more massive government outpouring of free money!

These two MEGA-events — the Wall Street collapse in 2008 and the Washington response in 2009 — are mind-boggling in their dimensions.

To get a pretty good idea of what’s likely to happen next year, we don’t have to poke around in hidden crevices of the economy. Nor must we stretch our imagination to conjure this or that scenario.

All we have to do is follow the path of natural consequences from these two mega-events.

My Comment: For a whole range of reasons 2010 will bring in momentous changes. But these will only be the start of a ‘revolution’ which will affect the whole globe. Global changes in national and political alliances and power bases, financial insecurity and mind-blowing upheavals — and much more!

The above article is the reasoned understanding of a high-level US financial advisor who is judging things from a non-Christian viewpoint — just based on the facts. Bible believing Christians know he is right but also know where it is all going to end.

How do we know? The Bible is VERY clear about the days in which we live and for those who know the Lord Jesus personally and His Word the days ahead are not days of disaster, but (eventually) days of glory and blessing — yes here on Planet Earth. Jesus IS coming very soon! He will rule the nations with a ‘rod of iron’ and bring in the Kingdom of God on earth, with King Jesus on the throne in Jerusalem.

But there is so much to happen before that. You will be involved and affected. There is nowhere to hide and nowhere to go. Prepare now by receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour for He promises: “Behold I will never leave you or forsake you”. “Not a hair of your head will perish”. It will come sooner than you think.

The biggest rip-off of all time

Article by Martin D. Weiss, Ph.D. 11-23-09 | Money and Markets website | Link to original here>

Martin D. Weiss, Ph.D.

In the scenario I’m about to paint for you, the dialog is fictional, but all the facts and figures are real.

The time: 1 AM, November 23, 2011, exactly two years from now.

The place: the White House, suddenly and unexpectedly under siege as a new financial crisis erupts.

The economic booms of 2010 have morphed into superbooms … the superbooms into bubbles … and the bubbles into busts. Large banks are again on the brink. Financial markets are again in turmoil…

President Obama and Treasury Secretary Geithner have huddled in the Oval Office for hours, struggling to find new solutions to old problems: Wall Street meltdowns, renewed threats of a great depression, millions more thrown out of work…

Comment: Read the complete online article and bookmark it so that you can look back in a few years or so and see that the Next World Crash was forecast and indeed was the direct result of the impact of Government interventions — well-meaning no doubt (maybe) but destined to make things a lot worse.

Soon it will be openly obvious that the crash of 2008-2009 was actually part of a high-level hidden (and not so hidden) agenda to totally change the political and financial world-wide scenario. World Government and World Economic structures will then be seen as the only way forward.

The prophecies of the Book of Revelation in the Bible will start to come real (and frighteningly) to life before your very eyes and there will be nothing you can do to stop it.

Now is the time to take account of this and turn your life over completely to Jesus Christ. To those who truly trust in Him, Jesus said: When you see these things BEGIN to come to pass, LOOK UP for your redemption draws near. (Luke 21:28).

Yes you can have advance warning of the coming of Jesus Christ to rule this earth and bring in peace and plenty for the whole earth. His is the only plan that will truly succeed. Trust in Jesus now!

Jesus is the same…

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”  Hebrews 13:8

As George Mueller meditated on this verse from Hebrews, his heart filled with faith. If Jesus was the same, this meant that His love was unchanging and His power was undiminished. He could still heal the sick, raise the dead, feed the hungry, and meet every need. Mueller also could be confident that his prayers already were answered, even before he received the answers.

Transformed by this confidence, Mueller lived a life of faith throughout his ministry in the last half of the 19th century. As pastor of a large church, evangelist, author, and founder of orphanages, he trusted God to meet every need. He also taught others the power of prayer and faith.

Although Mueller experienced many powerful answers to prayer, at times his prayers were not answered quickly. He wrote of waiting 29 years for one answer. Yes, for 29 years he continued to pray, praise God, and believe that He would answer. While he waited, he became fully assured that God had heard him. As a result, he said, “I have often been enabled to praise Him beforehand for the full answer.”

In contrast, many Christians are filled with doubt, which cripples them from praying or acting in faith. But the Bible tells us that “without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6).

Today, don’t allow anything to prevent you from trusting in God. Meditate on His Word. Be certain that you really believe that “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
If your prayers are not answered right away, don’t give up or become discouraged.

Instead, be filled with faith. Continue to believe. Start praising God for the answers. Let this praise squeeze doubt, worry, and fear from your life.

Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, thank You that You have not changed (and will never change).
I commit these needs to You: ______. Thank You in advance for the answers!
I put my faith in You. In Your name. Amen.

Doing right…

“For such is the will of God that by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish men.” 1 Peter 2:15 NASB  | Inspiration Network

Peter lived in a time of great change. As the early Church grew, he faced rejection, conflicts, and persecution. He learned that, from a spiritual perspective, many people were foolish and guilty of “ignorance.” He used a Greek word that is the root for our English word “agnostic” (referring to those who say they don’t know if God exists).

The world still is filled with foolish and ignorant people who reject the Gospel and don’t believe God’s Word. These people are convinced that they’re right. In fact, they believe that Christians are the ones who are “foolish.”

How do we interact with people like this? Peter argued that we can silence their ignorance by “doing right.” He recognized that the world watches how Christians act — what we do, how we spend our time, and how we treat others. Peter knew that one of the best ways to demonstrate the truth of the Gospel is through a changed life — through our testimony and conduct.

This is taught consistently throughout the Bible, and it’s a principle we can apply every day. It means endeavoring to do the right thing in every situation — not just saying we believe the Bible, but actually putting it into practice. As servants of Christ, we seek to serve others, allowing the Spirit of God to work through us to demonstrate His compassion and power.

Today, ask God to help you do the right things. Seek first His Kingdom. Humble yourself, and be a servant to others. Seek to be faithful and obedient. Trust Him to intervene on your behalf with the foolish people in the world. Let Him fill you with His Spirit, that you might love others and be a vessel of His power.

Pray: Father, help me to be faithful to obey You. I place my hope and trust in You. Fill me with Your Spirit, and help me to be a blessing to others. May people see Jesus in me. In His name. Amen.

Puffed up or building up?

“We know that ‘all of us possess knowledge.’ This ‘knowledge’ puffs up, but love builds up. If anyone imagines that he knows something, he does not yet know as he ought to know. But if anyone loves God, he is known by God.”  1 Corinthians 8:1-3  ESV

Food offered to idols presented major problems for first-century Christians. Early Church leaders decided that one of the firm rules for Gentiles was that they “abstain from the things polluted by idols” (Acts 15:29). They all knew it was important to live lives that were pleasing to God and good testimonies to others. Paul then moved on to a deeper issue: attitudes about “knowledge.”

Some Christians assumed they were special because of what they knew. But Paul stressed that everyone has some kind of knowledge. This means that all of us can be prone to trusting in ourselves and our own special knowledge. The danger is that this knowledge can make us proud and arrogant, because this knowledge “puffs up.”

This attitude can be crippling to Christians! But there is an antidote: love! While knowledge can cause us to be proud, love “builds up.” The Greek word refers to a person who builds a house. In short, those motivated by knowledge can destroy and tear down, but those motivated by love are constructive.

By our knowledge, we can destroy “the brother for whom Christ died” (v. 11). Thus, thinking we are completely right, we can be completely wrong, and can even “sin against Christ” (v. 12).
Paul warned that if we have “all knowledge” but “have not love,” we are “nothing” (1 Corinthians 13:2). Knowledge without love is meaningless, merely a collection of information.

Today, ask God to fill your life with love. Be careful about communicating what you “know.” Seek to be motivated by love: Build up others!

Prayer: Father, I humble myself before You. Fill me with Your love toward others. Help me to be Your instrument in bringing the Gospel to the world. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

When the Pressure is On

“Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name.” (Malachi 3:16) | KCM

‘When the going gets tough, the tough get going!’ Anon

Have you ever noticed that those who have the most exciting, faith-inspiring testimonies are those who’ve been under pressure at some time in their lives? They’re the people who stayed faithful when the pressure was on. They’re the people who believed God’s promises of prosperity in the midst of desperate financial situations or trusted God for healing in the face of a terminal disease.

My friend, when you get into a hard spot, that’s not the time to back out on God and begin to say, “Well, God, why did You let this happen to me?” It’s not the time to step back and reevaluate His faithfulness.

What I’m saying to you is this: When tough times keep dragging on and the situations around you seem to refuse to get in line with the promises of God, don’t reevaluate God! He’s not missing it, and He’s not failing.

If you’re going to reevaluate anything, reevaluate yourself! Look and see where you may have failed. If you still can’t find out what the problem is, just say, “God, I don’t know what’s wrong here, and I’m asking You to show me. But one thing I know, the problem’s not with You, and I continue to be moved by Your Word and not by circumstances.” Then, when He reveals something to you, be quick to make changes.

I want to encourage you to stand firm and to keep honoring God with your words. The Lord is listening to you when the pressure is on. What is He going to hear?
